Work Experience with HWTMA

Each year, the Hampshire and Wight Trust for Maritime Archaeology hosts a number of work experience placements from local schools, colleges and universities.

During their time with us, HWTMA undertakes to provide the student with:

  • a realistic and representative insight to the world of work
  • opportunities for questioning employees about jobs/profession/education/progression routes
  • opportunities to develop employability skills
  • information to help with informed career choices

Work Experience Placement's Blog

As part of our continual efforts to ensure that students get the most out of their time with us, we encourage them to keep a daily record of their activities and how this relates to their learning. To combine this task with development of IT skills, we provide a blog space and encourage students to keep and publish their records in this way. To see the blog of our latest work experience placement, please click here.
