Are you interested in:

- Learning about different approaches to archaeology?
- Socialise with students and professionals from all over UK?

The Hampshire and Wight Trust for Maritime Archaeology are delighted to announce that we have received funding from English Heritage through the Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund to run a free Maritime Archaeology Access and Learning Workshops in May 2009. The workshop introduces the subject of Maritime Archaeology which, for most participants, will be an unfamiliar field.

The workshop will run at Fairthorne Manor in Southampton 14-15 May, free of charge, including accommodation and lunch, and will encourage the sharing of ideas and best practice in events and activity planning with focus on maritime archaeology and education and outreach. The residential aspect will encourage networking and will hopefully help to spark some exciting new outreach projects.

We would suggest that it would be useful for postgraduate students with an interest in:
-Archaeology
-History
-Education and Outreach
