Arch-Manche Logo Design Competition

The search is on for a logo for an exciting new European maritime project!

This is your chance to design a logo that will be seen by an international audience through display on project publicity, documentation, webpages, newsletters and reports.

Full Project Title: Archaeology, art and coastal heritage - tools to support coastal management and climate change planning across the Channel Regional Sea.

Short Title: Arch-Manche.

Project Summary: Arch-Manche aims to contribute to how the coastal zone is managed in response to coastal climate change. The project is using archaeology, information on buried prehistoric landscapes, coastal heritage sites and artist representations of the coast to provide detailed information on how the coast has changed over thousands of years. This information helps us understand past changes in order to predict and be prepared for future changes.

Key themes: The logo design should reflect the themes of archaeology, art and coastal change. The key partner countries in the project are based in England, France, Belgium and the Netherlands, so the logo may refer to this area (but this is not compulsory). More detail at: http://www.hwtma.org.uk/arch-manche

Logo specifications:
Logo must be submitted digitally in a format that is easily used within design software, minimum of 300dpi. Maximum file size of initial entry should not exceed 3MB (the winning entry may be asked to provide a higher resolution/ file size version).

Logo should look good in colour and black/ white.

It must be original work and must not resemble or be derived from other copyrighted image/s.

If the proposed logo contains text (other than the title ‘Arch-Manche’) this should be in English.

Judging of winning entry:

The judges’ decision will be final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
