Itchen River Booklet
The HWTMA is currently working on a popular booklet about the Itchen River. It will highlight the archaeological remains along its banks and raise awareness of the importance of its maritime heritage.
The booklet will be the second publication in the Trust's Maritime Archaeological Series. This series is aimed at providing easily accessible information on maritime heritage to the public. If you would like to provide funding to enable production of the booklet to go ahead please contact the HWTMA.
It covers archaeological evidence from a range of time periods including prehistoric trees and sediments, stone tools, Roman posts, post medieval structures and modern hulks.
