25-05-10 Brandon Mason and Gareth Owen from HWTMA were interviewed today on Jon Cuthill's show on BBC Radio Solent  for the launch of the new HMS Invincible interactive archive.

The University of Southampton is co-ordinating the development of a research framework for the maritime, marine and coastal archaeology of England for English Heritage, funded by the ALSF.

Staff from HWTMA were invited as the only English guests to the Journée du Drassm in Marseille, a day of lectures concerned with the work carried out by Drassm and its associates over the previous year.  

This week a new 3D project took off where pupils from Chamberlayne College create 3D images of Southampton’s Maritime Heritage.

Working drafts of chapters of a research framework for the maritime, marine and coastal archaeology of England are online for consultation and feedback for the next six weeks. The project conference will be taking place on Saturday 1st May 2010.

Pupils at a school in Hampstead, London, this week took part in a unique interactive lesson in maritime archaeology, when our Community Outreach team paid them a visit in the Community Outreach Van (COV).
