Mesolithic Horizons
The HWTMA features in the publication ‘Mesolithic Horizons',
A new publication presenting the proceedings of the seventh international conference on 'The Mesolithic in Europe', held in Belfast in 2005. The two volume publication contains over 140 research papers on virtually all aspects of the European Mesolithic, grouped into thematic sections that cover topics as diverse as economic identity and mobility, the critical analysis of individual settlement sites, and the significance of ritual. HWTMA's research on the Mesolithic site of Bouldnor Cliff in the western Solent is highlighted in the paper ‘Occupation in a submerged Mesolithic landscape', by Garry Momber, Julie Satchell and Jan Gillespie, and features in the ‘People and Places' section of the publication .
‘Mesolithic Horizons' (edited by Sinéad McCartan, Rick Schulting, Graeme Warren and Peter Woodman) is published by Oxbow Books and was launched at the Europa Day conference in York, on 30th May 2009.
