After School Clubs

HWTMA offers a range of after-school clubs. Below are a few examples of after school club activities that HWTMA has previously provided.

If you are interested in one of our after school clubs please contact us to discuss your requirements and we will be happy to provide a no-obligation quote.

Secondary After-School Club - wreck research project

A 6-week after-school club with 12-16 year olds. Using historic sources, an online virtual dive, archaeological survey techniques and fun worksheets, pupils from different year groups worked collaboratively to solve a mystery, identify a shipwreck site in the Solent and make a short film about the project.

Secondary After-School Club - building mini ROVs!

A 6-week after-school club with 12-13 year olds. Learning about Remotely Operated Vehicles, visiting some real ones and then building minature versions and testing in tanks of water!

maritime archaeology afterschool club Infant After-School Club

A 4-week after-school club for 5-7 year olds. Particularly popular with the boys! The sessions involved: comparing and contrasting real, replica & modern artefacts, trying on and talking about diving equipment, sand-box excavation, underwater drawing, a beach-combing "fieldtrip" and photographing and drawing our "finds".
